Too many eggs in one basket in a movie that, credits and all, runs 2 hrs. There are multiple villains and multiple superhero types besides the titular character, possibly including a “surprise” cameo introducing the new Supergirl ahead of her own movie coming out.
But Guardians of the Galaxy was pretty loaded up and still worked, so maybe Gunn has a formula that works for that sort of thing.
And Krypto was always Superboy’s dog and looked like a pibble. Happy to finally see a live version, but of course they got it “wrong”.
It wouldn't surprise me if most of the extraneous characters play very small roles toward the end of the movie as a part of the big boss battle.
I doubt it'll take a typical Zack Snyder approach of trying to tell several stories at the same time (especially when nobody is invested in any of the characters, yet).
We'll have to see how everything is set up from the jump, since we know going in that Lois already knows Clark Kent is Superman.

Fuck that dog being Superman's. I bet he ends up giving it to Superboy later in a total cop out mode.
Look at these excluders. They have no respect for the "special bond" Superdog and SuperFag are bringing to the stage. In for SuperPox.
