Carney had support from all these other parties and he's still sh*tting the bed.

No matter what the CBC says, Carney is blowing this worse than a 2 dollar whore in an ally.

I have no idea how that drug addicted midwit has an audience. He's nothing more than your average college professor.
I dunno about all that

I think he had a rough patch existentially and came to certain conclusions. I think that he felt an almost messianic need to share them.

The rate and pace of opposition only proved his point and got him more attention as a couple generations of lost men said "thank you, can I have some more please"

And at that point he was just holding on to a galloping horse.

I'm not saying he's a personal role model, but I do understand being pulled in 50 directions while recovering from tragedy, and understand how a busy busy mind on a mission can allow you to find solace in something that turns it off for a minute or two while making excuses as you are just trying to keep your head above water.

I deeply respect his spine because he recognized it, fixed it, and is never shy about discussing it.

...

The thing I worry about, as far as society currently goes, is a massive over correction rapidly happening as the mob thats winning moves forward to the next thing that isn't perfect.
I've been posting about that for over a decade while simultaneously cheering on the "new" conservative movement most of here are a part of.

We have to be specific about the ones we tear down. Mr Peterson isn't perfect, but he was a man that stood up and said no.
Anyone here perfect?

My disdain is more for his followers than for him. Like Dave Ramsey, nothing Peterson has ever said has been remarkable, at least not to me. It's common sense. But I guess that's a rare trait with a large percentage of the population. Also, to me, his grandstanding always seems to be for self-serving publicity. I have serious doubts about the sincerity of his convictions.

And I, too, share your concerns about the pendulum swinging too far, too fast in the other direction. I not a democrat or republican partly because the same key issues for both parties have been lazily used by politicians to pit folks against each other for decades and they love it because it's easy and it works. There's no incentive to fix anything or compromise, just keep the retards in-fighting and fuck them over while they're busy bickering with each other. I don't want a hard right or hard left country. I want something close to the middle, and I think most reasonably intelligent Americans feel the same way.
