Is Inoue losing a step or just paying for fighting so offensively? I didn’t realize the Donaire 1 fight was 11 fights ago. So he’s been dropped twice recently but came back o finish them both and got hurt by Donaire and had a war. Donaire is the only to go the distance with him since David Carson’s in 2016.
Is Inoue one of the most complete boxers ever or in the modern era (whatever period that is)?
Technical, power, speed, IQ, footwork, jab, body punch, toughness, cardio, ability to adapt and come back, absolute constant willingness to for the finish even at this stage in his career and reign, not only that, willingness to brawl at this stage in his career and reign.
I’d say his defense is also pretty good but chooses to fight in the pocket and take risks more.
