My dad always said full electric was dumb, keep a 1-3 horsepower gas generator on it so it can charge itself while driving.
He still has Dodge heavy duty diesel and a few Subarus for snow. Hasn't gotten into EV or hybrid yet.
Some things on there are cool I guess, as

I don't think you can charge a battery while the battery is in use?
But if it's both electric and gas, then while in gas mode it should be able to charge the battery I would think.

Like it uses it up and then when it's low it switches to another bank and then the one that is low starts to charge?
I dunno, I mean, you can use a cell phone while it's charging but I don't think the battery draw is the same?
Otherwise why wouldn't you just use the rotation of the car tires or the alternator to artificially extend the battery use time?

The are chinese evs that do a battery swap in 2 minutes.
before i left, EV buyers would also get about $10k USD in tax/license breaks
