I'm surprised this is not getting more attention.
It's a intricate topic.
From what I understand from years gone by is that drug companies can't police their IP on the entire world so they get it from the same place that makes it cheapest and charge what they want in the USA. Or. They could make it themselves, which would cost more and the rest of the world will rip of their IP and sell it for way less anyway .
That's the short version.
USA drug companies are gauging and they are a monopoly protected by the artificial barriers they have put in place through government lobbying and buying of the media through adds , however they are kind of fucked if the whole world just ripped of their drugs and they can't do shit about it .
It's a sticky situation. A lot of fuckhead libitarians like myself don't believe in IP rights and tariffs yet there is a shity outcome if you go down that route.

Good, keep it rolling...food costs are still out of wack and unjustified.
You probably already know this but it's worth reiterating. They are only ever talking about the rate of inflation, not the cost of goods. They are deceptive about it though and confuse it intentionally a lot of the time.
Prices will never go back to 2020. Not without massive deflation. Which would be worse than inflation. ( job losses, can't pay your mortgage ect ).

I want to hear an apology soon from the free market libitarians that we're certain this this would cause inflation.
There was a small group of people ( like myself )that actually predicted this was more likely. It could continue. There could still be deflation. However if more money continues to go into America than goes out it could be the good kind. Where it's actually in the form of the dollar strengthening. I think that is actually very realistic.
