I must have been close to that casino I was at battlefield vegas. I don't really gamble I won 1.59 last time I went to Some casino near margaritaville,I wanted to go on slotzilla but you can't drink and go on it.most of vegas out side of the strip is pretty scummy I was on flamingo and maryland Pkwy near UNLV and it looked terrible I was there on my way to McCarran,I would not want to live there feels like being on mars with the red mountains surrounding it.They are local casinos that dont cater to the tourist scum. Closest one you’ll see is palace station which is across the freeway from circus circus.
The UFC absolutely crushed its competition in the past (such as strike force etc....) by putting on events on the same day as their events. I recall a Wednesday event popping up out of no-where with all late minute matchups & I was confused as to why they're doing that. Ahh.... a Strikeforce event is on the same night. The UFC is going to snuff their viewers.
They don't do that with Bellator. So after years of doing that to other organizationz... (which they now own)... why aren't they doing that to Bellator? I think that they have a vested interest in Bellator being successful.... in order to counter lawsuits such as this
Why is the UFC willing to let some of its top fighters go to Bellator? My theory is that they don't really mind loosing a few top fighters that bulk up Bellator because it helps Bellator grow to a point where the UFC can point over & say that the UFC has not bought up all of their competition... look how well Bellator is doing!!! They're only going to do that so much... but there has been some pretty respectable names go over there.
My take is that they negotiate to a certain point with their fighterz... & though the fighter is completely valid UFC quality.... there comes a point in negotiations where they become just as valuable for the UFC to let go... because it helps their cause in bulking up Bellator.
Just a little theory I have.
lol yeah.. saying most of vegas is scummy and saying you were by Flamingo and maryland parkway? No shit sherlock that area is bad. Has been since the scum moved in back in the mid to late 80s.I must have been close to that casino I was at battlefield vegas. You are correct that Bellator set their date before UFC set 220...I felt like they did that with the most recent Bellator big card, Rory and Lima. I am almost 100% confident that Bellator had that date chosen first and those big fights on that card annouced for a while, and the UFC PPV was known that it would be around that time but was put on that date after the Bellator fights where announced.
Pretty sure on this
Be a fan of fights and fighters not promotions and promoters
They are responsible for all liabilities as terms of the sale.Assets? Yes
I severely doubt they would take on the liability of an established case.
The owners are major players & very little chance the legal teams involved would advise them to
Interesting & surprisingThey are responsible for all liabilities as terms of the sale.@ErikMagraken has done some good writing on this in the last couple years.

Thank you for the insight & that is what I thoughtI should note that is likely the case but everything is negotiable. Typically if you buy a company you buy everything including the liabilities. It is possible the deal was structured in such a way that the liability of this lawsuit stayed with the old owners or that they agreed to indemnify the new owners of any liability. Without seeing how the deal was written up we can only speculate but it is Zuffa that is being sued and unless Zuffa old owners agreed to continue to bear liability from this suit then it will be the burden of current owners.
