I think it's a good move for DJ. I believe fans over there would appreciate him more
that is right. it should be embarrassing to the ufc that they hold him in such low regard. but it's a neat deal that probably optimises the situation for all concerned
1) DJ gets to travel, make fans, plenty of money and hopefully more of a respectful feel with his employer
2) Askren gets a chance to shine finally, he made noises like he would have been happy to retire otherwise, but maybe that was just negotiation
3) UFC gets shot of a noisy internal critic and gets new blood for at least 2 very interesting fights.
4) as Ben had no-one to fight and was retiring, ONE effectively got DJ for free, to spice up their local scene - and bring eyes from around the world
