This has been my favorite Charlie Daniels Band album since I was 12-13. It came out years before I was born, but it was one of those albums that grabbed me the first time I heard it.
Yeah, it's a classic, alright. The song I posted got a lot of FM airplay around here. I remember buying the album after hearing this on the radio for a month or so.

A band Ronnie James Dio was in prior to Rainbow and Black Sabbath. I wasn't aware of the band and hadn't heard this song before yesterday. I grew up not too far from Dixie Lee Junction and was there all the time buying fireworks when I was a kid. They were illegal to sell in Knox County, but perfectly legal to sell in Loudon county and it was right on the line.

I was at this show. One of the best shows I've seen. So much energy.
I don't know exactly why, but J Roddy has a pretty big following in C-Bus. His shows are always a blast.

The Cincy shows are a lot of fun too - but not "everyone in the crowd knows every lyric" type fun.

Seen this dude live 5 or 6 times. Good shit.

Love this Band. They're originally from Cleveland, TN. I had tickets to see them at the Radio Room here in Greenville when it was a 200 person venue. I got the fucking flu for the second time in my life and missed the show. They broke up not too long after that.

The dude brings it every time.

He's back to touring with a new group. He was just in Cincy not too long ago at a venue that holds maybe 100 people. I would have gone but I was out of town.

Saw his Christmas To The Bone show a few years back in C-Bus. Tiny bar. Packed house. Christmas songs for the first hour or so - then they closed with Heavy Bells, Numbers, Sally Bangs (because I requested it at the top of my lungs) and Needle. Insane show.
