What kind of gun or guns do you have?

Massachusetts has passed some draconian gun law this month and it is fascinating to see the impact on the "black guns market" that built up around the last draconian gun law that was passed. There has long been a "pre-ban" loophole that allowed for the possession of regular capacity magazines as long as they were manufactured prior to the 1994 "assault weapons ban". The result is that Glock magazines in particular (upwards of $150 for 15 round G19 square notch/ drop free mags), but all magazines with a "pre-ban" manufacturing date were available at exorbitant prices. That loophole is now closed, and those overpriced magazines are now worth very little.
Because this law was so hastily passed, it (like the last draconian law passed in 2016) has created a new rather large loophole. Prior to September 23, 2024 when the law goes into effect, the only AR's that could include normal features like a folding stock or the dreaded bayonet lug were AR's manufactured prior to the 1994 "assault rifle ban". So pre-ban Colts have been selling for $2000+. The new law resets the date for grandfathered "assault style weapons" to August 1, 2024. Inadvertently, this means that all of the "assault style weapons" manufactured in MA prior to August 1, 2024 can now adopt pistol grips and flash hiders and all of the other terrible features that had been forbidden.
Right now, the only semi-automatic centerfire rifles available for sale in MA and for the foreseeable future are those rifles that are currently in legal possession of someone prior to August1, 2024, and starting September 23, 2024 all centerfire semi-automatic long guns (including hunting rifles, PC carbines, and shotguns) will no longer be available for sale through gun shops and FFLs until the state establishes an "approved long-gun" list. As far as anyone knows, that list is likely months away. It will be very interesting to see what happens to the personal sale market this year. I have already seen Keltec sub-2000s selling for $700+.

I’m picky is the issue and acknowledge this is a me problem.
I don’t like anything mounted on the charging handle side other than maybe a tape switch so I want to mount the light either at 6 o’clock which looks dumb unless it’s one of the Surefire handguards (which also means you usually can’t use the trilug adapter for a can) or more preferably at 3 o’clock away from the charging handle.
I also hate when lights hang too far off guns so adding a pic rail then light mount then light triggers my ocd. I also hate adding more shit than needed.
So like a Surefire pro body that can suck up nice to the rail then run an mlok tape switch at 9 o’clock would be a good option to appease my ocd.
Or a micro rein and hope someone makes a mlok mount for the gen 3 switch soon but run it on a section of pic rail in the meantime.

I'm sure the other thread is a fine place where they actually talk about guns. This is a cigar lounge where we bully BWS, day dream about a sweet front door in Chicago, be mean to our favorite cloner, and again, occasionally talk about guns. Mostly to keep boxy from punching one of us in the dick.
Some of us are into that and have Sister Steel on speed dial, mine is too small to take that kind of abuse so I try and avoid it personally.

Yeah, my intent was not to infringe on another thread, but to keep alive what we had going. I apologized earlier for not researching if another thread already existed, but then that would have been like joining another club, and would not have resulted in the kind of banter we have going on in here. The other thread is cool though. There were also several other threads on the OG too that were firearms related, but the gun club evolved into its own unique thing.
