I think some has to do with women being attracted to confidence. It just comes with the territory. But there is a fine line between being assertive and being a jackass. My wife sometimes actually tells me "I'm happy that you were in control of that situation". But maybe I'm not following. What type of control is there? Give examples...

One that really stands out if I tell a man I can't go to something because I have something going on they will hint that I should drop it for them and expect me to come and get mad if I can't go and not so subtly hint that me going with them is more important than what I have to do. Like i tell them long in advance I will be too busy to go. They Don't listen and get mad if I Don't drop what I'm doing for them when the day rolls around.

These are not even important things, just things they wanted to do which they could do with anyone else.

-- sporting event
-- watch movie in theatre
-- go to their work/gym/friends party

One guy even got pissed at me for watching the season finale of walking dead without him.

Like I feel like they always want to strip every piece of autonomy from a woman. They need to know what we are doing, when , where, how and why and they get mad if you Don't tell them everything in your life or spend every spare minute at their discretion with them.

Well, damn. Maybe some self reflection is in order for me. My better half is free as a bird... BUT, damned if I don't expect a minimum three page written report double spaced in times new roman when she gets home....BUT then again,,,, youd be mad if he didn't "show any interest" too. Take that!

I wouldn't be mad just would think he didn't like me. I think there's such thing as a balance but maybe men aren't capable of that. They either like you so much they want to control you or have such low interest they Don't care.

There's definately something wrong with the way men think and desire control. There's also suggestions that men cheat on their wives to gain the edge over their wives with having to be in a 50/50 union with them. Cheating is a way they change the tables so It's not really 50/50 at all but the wife just doesn't realize and that betrayal in itself is a form of control.

Well not every man of course just a general reason so many men cheat is supposedly trying to get the edge on their situation. Conquests are winning and they feel like 50/50 cohoots with the Mrs. is dampening their ability to win so they mess around to get the edge back and feel like MEN.

How do you not go mad ?? Me I usually stop responding and hide out And block them for awhile. If they aggressively try to make contact I will permanently ghost on them. I guess you can't do that if You're married.

This is close to correct, only replace the word "men" with "guys".
