California has stricter rules, coincidentally they also have a fuck ton more shootings.
Threads about mass shootings. I have been to Dublin. What's stopping me from buying a collection of rifles and shooting everyone in temple bar?

Ted Kaczynski wanted media attention. A mass school shooting was thwarted when a grandmother read a journal that expressed wanting to be "infamous", the most notorious ever. It's a common theme. Yet no one is saying the media shouldn't give them what they want.

Yup. Virginia Tech shooting is the prime example. The guy had 9mm and .22, and killed 32 people, lot higher than Florida shooting. Assault rifle, pistol, scissors, pen, toothbrush or whatever doesn't matter. What matter are the intent and the labor that follows, the medium could be whatever.
Media glorifies these nutjobs which is a huge part of the problem imo

As for me, I have an assault rifle because it's the most similar one I used in the military. I shot the shit out of it and I know the ins and outs of everything about that rifle, it'll come handy when shit hits the fan. (like Gov try'n to disarm citizens)
But frankly, now that I'm out of the military, I honestly don't give a shit. I know how to use it so I probably don't need to train with, if the laws were already that civilians can't own it, I'd be totally fine just shooting my pistol or shotty once in awhile. I just use it because it's available and I believe all the shooters of the mass use it for the same purpose. But like I've posted about the Virginia TEch guy, caliber or even what kind of medium don't matter. If you want to kill, you'd kill.
