Hockey is a contact sport in which you need to wear armour to survive. These soccer clowns feel a light breeze then hurl themselves to the ground, lol. And basketball? Please. Those guys are over 7' tall and fight over an uncontested hoop. How did @Shlomo Lars put it again?
Survival skills 101?

If hockey and handegg players were really brave they wouldn't wear padding or helmets. Lets face it they aren't brave at all. Football players are just clever and tricky trying to get opposing teams sent off for an advantage. Don't hate the playa...
i take it you have never been clipped in the face with a hockey stick before

Comparing the 2 is silly.
Enjoy each for what they offer.
Soccer players would be smashed and carried off in a matter of minutes in a pro football game.
Football players would be winded and left in the dust within minutes.

Brits should appreciate football as being a chess-like war.
The line is similar to a shield wall described in a Bernard Cornwell book.
Rooks and bishops going long, knights more like power runners, gaining a few yards at a time,
not a perfect analogy, but close enough.

Jerome Simpson for the Bengals had one of the funniest flops of all time in the NFL.

Starts shit by grabbing a dude's leg and pulling him out of the pile like a 2 year old. Launches himself 3 yards backwards after barely being touched.

He took a lot of shit for that play on local radio. Dude was a clown. I think he plays for the Vikings now.

But to be fair, he did give us one of the best NFL TDs of all time:

Hence the word "generally"
Unfortunately some college players watch a lot of NBA and try to pull shit like this.

I'm glad they are caught on video so they can be publicly shamed.
All non-contact sports will have floppers and divers if it benefits them. It happens less often in sports like American football, rugby, and hockey simply because you're going to pay a heavy price for that shit.

Calling out soccer players for it when our sports stars also do it is just hypocritical.

Except it's not.

Soccer players do it constantly and it's apparently accepted. That's why I don't watch the sport. It's also one of the main reasons I don't watch NBA. And when I see it in other sports it annoys the fuck out of me.

I'm not being hypocritical at all. I criticize the tactic across the board. It's simply so prevalent in soccer that I can't stand watching the sport.

I will watch women's soccer as they don't do it.

If you can't handle players being smart then it's not for you. It takes far more intelligence to play football than handegg, that's for sure.

You don't watch enough college basketball to see it then. Do you really think it doesn't happen that often?

Like it or not, players who don't do it would be at an unfair advantage. So of course they do it just as often as in the NBA.

I don't like watching men act like 5 year old boys.
Not my thing.

False. Selling a charge and flopping aren't the same thing. I generally watch Cincy basketball until tournament time when I watch every game I can.

I can go an entire college game without seeing a single flop. You can't go 5 minutes in the NBA without seeing one. There's a difference.

And my issue with soccer has less to do with the flopping than it has to do with faking injury while the game is still being played. Get the fuck up you pussy. It's embarrassing for both the players and the fans who condone that shit.
