I'm not burying my head in the sand on this. I've looked at all kinds of proposed solutions, but things I can find that work across socio-economic boundaries are basically:Well the Ultimate goal would be to not have people shooting up schools and committing mass shootings. I have no idea what the best way to fox ot would be, but to act like an ostrich and bury your head in the sand is certainly not gonna fox anything
1) Stop giving notoriety and fame to the shooter. Focus the notoriety on, and honor, the victims.
2) Better access to mental health care, fewer stigmas associated with it. More research into the long-term and corner-case effects of anti-depressants.
3) End the blanket "Gun Free Zone" policy for schools, and encourage each state/municipality to implement their own policies.
There are other things that I think would work, but I haven't seen any empirical evidence to support them, or the downside risk is too high.
Fuck my feels when it comes to policy and law.
