I honestly think this sucks. That's one of the things that was going to make this place better than the UG was the ability to post pics easily. There's no way in hell that I'm going to take the extra steps to upload the file to another site then onto here. Who has that kind of time. Not me. So just another site exactly like the UG. So why don't I just go there. Nothing sets you apart. Sorry just being real.

if we are being "real" then you know as well as I do that 70% of the pics that get posted are NOT as funny as the person posting thinks it is...no reason the people paying for this site should have to pay for more bandwidth for lackluster graphic attempts at comedy gold.

and about you not taking extra time to do an extra step. what...that whole extra minute? you got someplace to be?
if you are one of those posters whose claim to fame is that you've posting mma stuff on the internet since '02..then i'm telling you ...you HAVE got the time to do the extra step.

But your tone is pretty over the top, given that literally 95% of the pictures on this site are linked via the IMG tag and not uploaded to our server.

This change is to set expectations now. This change is because it is already mostly that way it was done. We checked the linking versus uploading ahead of time to know.

Holding down right click (or long holding on any image in chrome on your phone) will give a "copy IMG URL" option.
Paste it and your image arrives.

Imgur.com and gfycat have a mobile app and our software will embed their pics for you automatically

Weve asked you to pay nothing, we specifically stated we wont do anything with linking pics, and we've outlaid how we will add picture hosting the right way later.

I'm sorry you're so offended, but hosting pics on a database specific server is a terribly inefficient way to do it.

Imgur changed their interface recently. It used to be a bit easier to get the embed link. You need to right click the image after you upload and select "View Image" to get the direct link.

You can go shorter.

Long hold (on phone) or right click (computer) and click "Copy Image URL/Location"

Then paste it...

You'll get the imgur embed frame, but there's nothing to else to do. Paste the link, we take care of the rest.

Agreed. This is no different than most forums out there. Most forums you can ONLY link pictures etc. This is of course for a good reason. As for the comparison with the UG, there was no such feature on that site without paying for it. And that is more of a rarety, than what MMA Community is doing.

I'm sorry B @Bad1121 is so unhappy or anyone else. We didn't mean to set any false expectations on this front. We are building a long-term house here and need a foundation.

It would be bad to have less than 5% of pics cause the site to not be viable.
I get the appeal. But I'm also sitting here using giphy.com and the imgur app and its ridiculous easy. Especially the latter that is so simple on mobile.

There's nothing to apologize for. It's the obvious choice to make. Unless you have a stash of memes constantly at the ready, there's just as many steps involved in finding a pic, saving it locally then uploading to the server. Just google image search and paste the link. It's really not that hard.
