For someone that is financially stretched, not a single thing in that cart was a smart purchase.
yep, I guarantee I could go to wal mart with 100 dollars and actually have several bags of food. It is going to be processed, but it will provide several days of meals instead of gogurt. Fuck, spaghetti and sauce alone would provide a weeks worth of meals.

I see this at work with food too, those financial decisions are inversely correlated with how much money the person is earning. If someone is coming in every morning with food they just bought at the gas station or at a drive-thru and they order lunch every single day, without exception they are always the ones that get paid the least.

When I was working in dispatch it would drive me nuts the amount of people that were ordering doordash, uber eats, etc for stupid shit. One girl ordered a coffee from dunkin doughnuts and had it doordashed. I looked her and asked her if she was an idiot, there is a coffee pot and a kcup machine in the breakroom for free.

this used to drive me crazy . i used to work at a cabinet shop like 20 years ago . we made ok money but not good money . i had a old lady and a baby at home at the time . i made my lunch at home . if i wanted gatoraide or something i bought a case at costco and paid like $0.75 each for them . i usually just brought leftovers or sandwiches . the rest of the guys would live off the lunch wagon . the guy would run them tabs .he also would sell smokes , tylenol, alka seltzer all that shit . so by the time payday would roll around they would all owe the lunch truck like 150 - 200 bucks each. that would keep them constantly broke.... then the guys who wanted to drink would hit up Money Mart for a payday loan on the cut off weekend cuz they spent all their money on 5 dollar gatoraides and 10 dollar shit tier sandwiches . it was a constant cycle of borrowing shit for a poor decision , paying more than it is worth and having to pay it back with money they dont really have. people stay broke for a reason

one of the best things i ever did was buy a coffee pot . i used to hit tim hortons on the way to work until i added up how much it was costing me. now i make my coffee the way i like it without dirty jeet ass fingers in it and it costs me pennies a pot . i havent been to tims in over 15 years . people always tell me to boycott tims cuz they only hire jeets but surprise i was already boycotting them because their food and coffee is shite .

A coffee pot and thermos will pay for itself in 2 weeks if buying coffee every day, but that's not the cool thing to do. I see the same thing in my staff, they come in with a 6 dollar latte and I just shake my head, but they bitch they have no money.

Major economic reckoning is coming. I assumed it would happen right when Trump took office. The further we kick that can down the road, the longer it'll take to recover.

Many a time I used my last $10 on a bag of beans, a bag of rice, and some tortillas. That would get me to my next paycheck.
That and watery spaghetti from the powder pouch and 49cent tomato paste.

There should be a bag of rice and log of tuna cans in that cart. Bitch don't know how to spend.
Fucking this, some peas, egg noodles, tuna, cream of mushroom, shaker parm, spaghetti, sauce, loaf of bread, carton of eggs, bag of potatoes, 5 lb tube of hamburger, chicken thighs, gravy mix would provide breakfast and dinner for several days. Tuna noodle casserole, spaghetti, french toast, eggs and toast, homefries, baked potatoes with broiled chicken, shepherds pie

I've become an expert at eating cheap the last few years. Egg sandwich is my go-to. Or Isley's chipped ham sammich. A meal for less than a dollar.

Egg noodles with butter, little salt/pepper is a great side dish, dirt cheap. Normally we do it with salisbury steaks or some chicken with a cream sauce. I'm not poor anymore but I still eat like I am. Everything can go away in an instant.
