Statement on Cris Cyborg's potential anti-doping violation from Ray Elbe on The UG:

“Not for a steroid, and she has a prescription as part of the post fight therapy she’s been receiving due to the severe weight cut.

"This has been known for a few days, and Cris doctor has been in direct contact with USADA turning over all the necessary patient files to document the reasons Cris needs the medication.”
I guess I don't really understand. If she has a prescription why not get a TUE? (In advance, I mean.)

She could be facing same charge as Jon Jones - just for not telling them like she was supposed to.

Can someone explain it to me? She wasn't cutting weight that day, was she? It was December and her last fight was September. So why take a diuretic to recover from drastic dehydration? Does that make sense to any of the medical professionals or fighters here?

Diuretics are often used to mask the use of other steroids.

The "potential" bullshit needs to stop. They are damaging fighters by doing this.
It's legal speak when someone has popped for something. I'm sure it's standard procedure (releasing a statement) whenever someone fails a test.

If it turns out they're wrong (highly unlikely) and that it's not a violation, they could potentially get sued by the fighters for libel.

Surprising that this has to be explained to you; it's fairly obvious.

I used to be a fan but an insider friend told me some some shitty things about her. I can't break confidence but suffice to say, I'm Matt Serra about her now.

I have also changed my mind about her based on your incredibly vague statement.
