Hey yo ChrisDotC when you gonna post videos of your arm wrestling matches and/or training? How do you find an arm wrestling club to train with?

Ive never trained for or arm wrestled.

I'd love to find a club but google was zero help.

Mind you, I'm way too old to make any run at arm wrestling.

Toddzilla started late.
It's just personal competition & fun.
You just have to approach it keeping in mind Blood Pressure, clotting, tendons, ligaments, bone, rather than a balls out kid.
And in that manner it's even more of a challenge.

I think the bigger problem is finding a club...

Like... my gym has an arm wrestling table... that really just becomes a water bottle stand. I've never seen anyone use it.

May dig up on of my old BJJ belts and do some arm wrestling cable work just to see how my arms responds. Back when I was really benching heavy, I developed some elbow issues, but they've felt great since moving to more machine work.

Have you tried the ArmBet site? It says they have a community you can connect with no matter where you are.

Found my old grip trainers from the powerlifting days.

Holy fuck my grip strength went to shit.

I used to be able to use the 200 lb for sets of 8-10. Now I can only do that with the 100.

Guess its time to focus a bit on that.

Brian seems to be better suited not using the strap.

His grip is a huge advantage over virtually anyone.

SMOE is turning into a pretty impressive event.

Its already the number 2 strongman show (and honestly is a better comp than WSM)... now adding arm wrestling should get tons of eyes on it.

In other news... I did order a couple arm wrestling attachments to start to build my hands/forearms again at the gym.

About a week in to adding some arm wrestling specific lifts to my gym routine...

Biceps back to 19 inches
Forearms at 14.5...

2 weeks in to adding in some arm wrestling specific lifting... and my forearms and hands are fucking cooked.

Been adding in some alternating volume and 1RM work for rising, cupping, side pressure, pronation, and supination.

That shit on top of my normal program is a killer.

How do I work on the topside of my forearm? The bottom/underneath side of my forearm is seeing some good improvements since adding some forearm specific workouts, but I'm not seeing the same results on the topside of my forearm.

Has been solid progression. I've added around 10 lbs to almost all of the movements.

I'd assume (Im no expert at forearm training), you'd want to focus on riser and supination for the 'top of the forearm'... but I could totally be wrong
