Watching for all mankind. On season 4 now. Without saying too much it's just occured to me that the actress playing Margaret is doing the biggest Russell crowe / John Nash impression I've ever seen.

I think that was her direction for the role. Be like John Nash without being a complete psycho.

Depends what you're into.

Some people didn't like it because parts of it were indeed slow and drama-heavy. Others didn't like it because they didn't feel it was traditional "Star Wars" - no Force, jedi, lightsabers, etc.

Personally, I loved S1. It shows a COMPLETELY different side of the rebellion...the dark & dirty side...showing that you sometimes have to do horrible, despicable things for the "greater good".

I will say that both Andy Serkis and Stellan Skarsgard each have scenes with monologues that are absolutely fantastic - top tier stuff.

You could youtube them to see them, and they'd be good...but not nearly as much so if you hadn't watched the show and experienced the buildup to each.
andor s2 e6. i didnt understand the end of the ep who is that guy in the chair?

So, is new Andor woke or is it just going in a new direction yall don't like?
I can't say for the latest episodes re direction. Not woke.

The 3rd episode just had a very..."mature"...scene & theme. It's something that, while I don't have a problem it being portrayed in tv / movies, is something that I don't think has a place in Star Wars.

Yeah, Andor is a more "serious", adult-oriented show...but SW, at least IMO, should still be kid friendly.

Look at it like this - we all know Anakin killed the younglings in ROTS. And it shows him going off to do it. That was fine.

Imagine instead we got a scene of him actually hacking up kids with a lightsaber. Wouldn't be appropriate.

Same kinda idea.

At least for me.

It's from a classic horror story told around the campfire and was used in When a stranger calls

Could you call your own house with the old rotary phones? My grandma and my mom had one they never bothered to change for the longest time so I was actually able to use them. They were fun and like most old appliances you could bash someone's head open with em.

Couldn't do that, but there was a way to get it to ring back if you called a certain #. It was to test your phone.

I also remember another # that would tell you the # you were calling from.

I remember talking to operators before long distance calls to f8nd out how expensive it would be.

The acting is a little spotty and cheesy but I'm enjoying this "true story". Its giving both sides of the story of a real life Orphan(movie). The adopted parents say she's a psycho and the kid says the parents are crazy.

Good American Family is an American drama limited series based on the adoption by Kristine (Ellen Pompeo) and Michael Barnett (Mark Duplass) of Natalia Grace (Imogen Faith Reid), a child with dwarfism who the Barnetts decide to abandon after she starts to display peculiar behavior, falsely claiming she had been an adult pretending to be a child to justify doing so. Hulu premiered the series on March 19, 2025.

Not new but I watched the Grand Tour with those Euro dudes.
I like most of season 3 and season 4 and 5 are good
I didn't watch the earlier seasons where they are mostly on a track and have a studio audience, I only like the films where they just pick a car and roll on long drives.
