How is public transit there and in Ontario in general. I don't drive.

Also, you wish there was inflation.
First of all, grow up and get a license!

waterloo region has an LRT and large bus network.

The GO transit network connects the entirety of the Golden Horseshoe (the larger urban area that encompasses the greater Toronto area and cities like Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, Niagara and others that wraps around the western end of Lake Ontario like a horseshoe). Toronto itself has the TTC, a network of subways, street cars and buses. All the suburbs will have their own transit systems integrated into both GO and the TTC. You can take a train or bus to Ottawa.

I don’t have to wish right now. About thirty percent of our money supply was printed within the last year and commodities are skyrocketing. Statscan’s fuzzy math has it pegged at 3.7 percent but it’s even higher.

Thanks. I miss a good public transit system living where I'm at now. With any luck my dollars will go much further based on your forecasts and I'll be able to declare myself king of the Canucks if I come up. I will naturally lead as a benevolent dictator.

kneeblock @kneeblock i was supposed to say “the second largest Octoberfest in the world.”

I know you love your German culture
Speaking of culture, will I be able to find other so called visible minorities or is it a sundown town like most of Canada?

southern Ontario is probably a lot more diverse than you imagine, especially as the greater Toronto area has been “dispersing” as they cash out their real estate.

it’s a city of 130,000 in a region of 600,000. 100 km southwest of Toronto. The cities of Waterloo, Kitchener and Cambridge make up a continuous urban area. Waterloo is the upper class city of the three, originally very WASPY, it is now more diverse. The area is an academic and technological centre. It boasts two universities (one very respected), a college, companies like research in motion and institutions like the Perimeter research centre. Kitchener is the working class, blue collar city and Cambridge is a mixture of blue collar and commuters. crime in Waterloo itself is very low. The countryside is beautiful farmland with amazing sweet corn and lots of Mennonites driving their horse and buggies. The region hosts the largest Octoberfest outside of Germany and the largest in the world. The city is very clean and the region offers a wide variety of services. The climate is typical of southern Ontario, cold winters and hot, humid summers. What more would you like to know?

Sex Chicken @Sex Chicken has been permanently barred from the SportChek in Waterloo. I don't have all the details, but it had something to do with "trying out fishing gear while shirtless."

Contemplating looking at a job up there and wondering what the vibe is. I've literally never heard of this place.
Do it. There is beautiful country out there. I go out to Waterloo to for the Farmer's Markets. Waterloo is about an hour and a half to Toronto, so you have the option to hit the city when you like. My favourite beach Long Point is like an hour south of you on Lake Erie, and if you get home sick and want to sniff some American butts, you are an hour and a half from Niagara Falls and 2 hours from Buffalo.

Move to Waterloo, and you, me and @Lars can hit up St. Jacob's Farmer Market and try to scare up some Mennonite strange.

If I’m hard on kneeblock @kneeblock it’s because I am planning to convert him into a rugged individualistic capitalist.
