I'm old and don't have much of a memory but wasn't the commission overseeing the GSP/Diaz fight in Montreal and wasn't the rule fighters must be no heavier than 170....and wasn't there a "cover-up" when GSP weighed in at 170.4??

I think the Quebec commission stated that the rule had always been to allow up to 0.4 lbs over.
Nick Diaz was crying about it because the Diaz brothers cry about everything.
I couldn't remember the exact details but I knew something was up with that fight.....so it was all legit, no cover up?

The Quebec AC has slightly different rules around many things than other ACs.
The only way they were able to host MMA before other provinces is because they labelled it "Mixed Boxing" to oversee it.
Examples of different rules are allowances for title fight to happen if a fighter is under one lb of weight.
Or foot stops not being allowed. (You can thank my former coach for that. He was the one who used foot stomps on his opponent so extensively the other guy could barely walk for weeks)

IMO if you have to go to this extreme to try and make a weight, whether you get there or not, you are in the wrong division.

Say this time and time again. You fight 3 maybe 4 times a year if you're lucky. Put your work in during training and you won't end up looking like this. It's embarrassing.
