All these fucking spastics can think to do is go back on the entire premise of the first fight between two random nobodies, and have the losing random nobody now fight Punk, I guess using the logic that Punk might be able to beat Mike Jackson because they both lost to Mickey Gall (which makes no sense).

Not only does this not change the fact that Mike Jackson is a random nobody, but because we have seen him get the shit beaten out of by Gall as well, he's literally the only person on Earth who is supposed to be disqualified from fighting Punk and who doesn't either generate a spectacle or give CM Punk some sort of boost with a victory.

I challenge anyone to come up with a single existing organism on this planet that wouldn't generate more interest. If you are thinking Golden retriever, 11-year-old Afghan refugee, plankton, my dad - you're wrong, try again.

WME literally had a one in a quadrillion chance of fucking this up and they did.

If you think C.M. Punk fighting Michael Jackson will not raise people from the dead to watch, you're stone cold crazy.

Its the only fight they have that could reasonably be allowed.

Cant go higher than Gall skillwise, that could be murder. Can’t go lower than Jackson skillwise, he was hired as 1 of 2 possible match ups that worked well for Punk, one of those being the former.

I’m holding out for Brooks to be the most dangerous striker there is, and Gall just exploited inexperience. Similar to an early career Brock vs Mir 1. Gall better watch out in the rematch.

Honda Vs. Punk woulda been the shizznit... And after she snapped his shit they
coulda settled the score at Wrestle Mania where the Rock coulda stepped in and
hit Punk with the Peoples Elbow for hittin a woman.

WME got no imagination.

Tiny Swole and Egg woulda made this shit happen!

Should be another celebrity, and then do celebrity TUF with punk and other guy as coaches or something
Ratings would kill.

Funny thing is that I bet he would be a good coach. He's articulate, and I bet he understands a lot about how one would win in theory.

you're probably right, but there might be a 170 lb version of this guy undulating around in a sewer somewhere who'd be almost as bad

I think they don't want to embarass him by releasing him and are just trying to let Punk out his contract without getting him hurt too bad. I think they know he is a sunk investment and that his last performance was so bad that he is impossible to hype.

That seems too reasonable to be a UFC move

The reality is CM Punk has already won. He got paid over $500,000 to fulfill a dream of his and went home to AJ Lee.

I’m consistently amazed by how much hate this guy gets for working his ass off in the gym and having the balls to get in a cage to fight someone.

It’s because he used him name, not his actual skill to get where he has in MMA.

I don’t blame him, I blame the UFC, but it was smart business from both parts.

He has no right being in the octagon and we all know it.

The ufc used his name. He wanted to do amateur first and they offered him 500000 to fight for them. I can’t blame him for that because you’d have to be a retard to say no.

they shoulda really milked it with him vs an aging legend or green power ranger guy. even if he loses, the build up/wonder would still be there.

He still has name value to non MMA fans. Honestly, most of them don't know anything about anyone on the UFC roster so it wouldn't make any difference if he was fighting RDA or Cowboy(either one) or Emil Meek.

Most of us will watch it for the freakshow and also some rasslin fans will tune in. I'm pretty sure WME is getting a decent ROI on this signing.

I'm interested in seeing him fight again, and the UFC is a freakshow at this point, and plus I basically hate them and like seeing them devalue their product, so I'm fine with him fighting there.

Pro-wrestling is some fake assed, slack-jawed yokel scamming bullshit, but I like that this guy has continued to work his ass off in the gym and try for redemption.

They probably just don't know what to do with a 40 year old unathletic celebrity whose body has been broken from a career in pro wrestling. The smart thing would have been to release him.

Same here. Its mostly by cunts on forums with a few jelly fighters tossed in.
I dunno, wanting to see MMA or particularly the UFC as close to a legitimate merit-based sport as possible might be an overly idealistic or misguided perspective, but it's not necessarily indicative of cuntiness or jealousy. That said, I'm sure you're right about a lot of the detractors.

Mike Jackson -250
CM Punk +195

betting against Punk's last fight was the easiest money I've ever made, haven't seen Jackson yet but if he's not a total palooka I can't imagine Punk winning this
