so it's a question of the legal threshold. It's very low in civil cases, and Conor's lawyers will have a hard time making a case that it was unlikely. It's not guaranteed that Chiesa would have gotten the fight, I don't think it's "likely"...but there aren't going to be any MMA fans on the jury.As @conor mcgregor nut hugger posted they didn't start to look for the next opponent based off rankings. Also Paul was on a three fight winning streak while Michael lost to Lee in his last outing. Getting a title shot when you lost your last fight isn't likely or make for an open and shut case.
By no means am I excusing Conor's actions here. There's a good case for a few who actually suffered from the bus fight but use facts and real losses to support your case, not fairy tales full of would have should haves.
