As @conor mcgregor nut hugger posted they didn't start to look for the next opponent based off rankings. Also Paul was on a three fight winning streak while Michael lost to Lee in his last outing. Getting a title shot when you lost your last fight isn't likely or make for an open and shut case.

By no means am I excusing Conor's actions here. There's a good case for a few who actually suffered from the bus fight but use facts and real losses to support your case, not fairy tales full of would have should haves.
so it's a question of the legal threshold. It's very low in civil cases, and Conor's lawyers will have a hard time making a case that it was unlikely. It's not guaranteed that Chiesa would have gotten the fight, I don't think it's "likely"...but there aren't going to be any MMA fans on the jury.

it's going to be your great-aunt and the guy who works at the smoke shop down the street. They'll pay Chiesa.

If I had gone to London last summer like I wanted to, I would've totally met Emma Watson and banged her.

I'm gonna sue my boss for not giving me the time off work...

You can't even convince yourself that this scenario is "likely".
Good luck convincing anyone other than your Grandma. And she'll flip as soon as she sees that Emma Watson is under the age of 80.

How many more bum lives does Conor have to keep changing to get some respect around here? Has he not changed enough bum lives?!

The lawsuits are an attempt to exploit a situation for monetary gain.

Chiesa is fighting again and is as close to (or far from) a title shot as he was before the Pettis fight.
Chiesa is probably trying to get the most out of the lawsuit, missed title shot (means missed opportunity to earn more pay) is probably the angle he's playing to make the pay even larger

Rose punches people in the face for a living. She doesn't have PTSD, gimme a fukn break.
it's hard to judge because maybe she had PTSD before, and if that was the case, this incident more than likely brought it back out.
example: in the past, if she was witnessed to someone getting shot, the loud sudden noise of window break could triggered that again, not to mention she was at her worst state (dehydration from weight cut) at the time.
I've passed out from dehydration before, felt like my souls been sucked out, felt like death

Conor has earned all the money he's made and it's not fair that people are trying to steal it over some false narratives.
if Conor didn't throw that dolly at the bus, none of this would have happened. Sure, he was trying to go after Khabib, but he reallly didn't have to throw that dolly at the bus where other people were in it too

I am staying out of the quoting and bickering over this ridiculous thread/concept(did quote once but kept it cordial)

I just listened to two episodes of Coast to Coast Combat Hour and I realized that is what I come to MMA forums looking for...Educated Mature MMA discussion free from drama

real MMA fans like MMAHAWK @MMAHAWK and Carbazel @Carbazel provide real content and an educated perspective, I really appreciate that...Great Pod Guys

This thread could learn a lot from them and their maturity

Armchair psychologists and devils advocates fill this thread and it is apparently not OK to just stay out of a Fighters Business. It is however celebrated to judge them and critic their Integrity, even if said fighter has been nothing but class in the past.

Thread Reeks IMO

One of the most ignorant comments I've seen in here. It's very unfortunate that this kind of attitude still exists about mental health
I think its because of her nick name Thug that people question her on this.

We all know she is no Thug. She's a 115lb girl with a long history
of abuse and mental issues. Taken in that context... yeah I can see
something that average people could quickly recover from really fucking
with her.

The apology was also horseshit from Conor. He didn't even have the decency to call
her personally. It was a half assed Twitter DM in which he then wen't on to make
excuses and justify what he did.

Plus... she said it didn't even sound like Conor and was most likely a troll.

Plus.. she never said she was suing. All that is speculation at this point

I'm not at all condoning what Conor did, but the fact is that he apologized and he said regrets his actions.

He's acting like an adult, everyone else needs to do the same.

Instead of dropping in to be passive aggressive and infer that those having a discussion in here aren't Educated Mature MMA fans perhaps go into read only mode instead of judging them from your high horse. I could bump almost any Jon Jones thread and find posts of yours that are all up in his business critiquing his integrity and calling him classless. Petty sure I'd find some armchair bro science and psychology if I looked enough too.

Chiesa probably realized he missed the opportunity and scrambling to rebuild the case

I think Jon has earned some criticism and I don't think Rose has...many examples of questionable decision making and harmful actions on JJ's resume...I can't think of any in Rose's past

Plus, the deflection of the responsibility from Conor seems dishonest at best..

Just my take.

The entire thread reads as Passive aggressive to me...maybe except a few posts and @Splinty 's analysis

Quacks have led the public to confuse a lot of flakiness with ptsd.
It's a money-making racket.
(I have to admit, I'm just messing with you a bit here).
I agree with you that it's like ADHD/Autism/et al in that there's a lot of people milking the system, doctors and patients.
But I can't find anything to indicate that Rose is that kind of a person. And if she's suffering from symptoms of PTSD, Conor should be accountable.

Also, I appreciate your subtle and elegant trolling. It doesn't take away from our discussion, and it makes me feel like you think I'm worthy of your best efforts. I appreciate that from you.
Hopefully, when @conor mcgregor nut hugger learns to read, he comes back this thread and takes notes on your posts.

@Splinty & La Paix @BirdWatcher

honestly curious if you think this is a good thread or discussion

Splinty WTF rated me so I don't know his feelings and I get Birdwatchers view of my post....is my post really out of line from the rest of the bickering in this thread?

I just don't feel it was a "high horse" position...I just felt real discussion of actual fights is what I prefer from a MMA forum

La Paix @BirdWatcher if you really feel I should only read threads, then revoke my privileges if you feel that is fair and just.

I do think of most of the posters in this thread as Real MMA fans...but some are taking the psychoanalysis way too far for an event they were not involved in.

This is just my opinion/opinions and I don't feel I violated any code...do what you must...I just think the thread is in bad taste so I posted my view of it....was also meant to be praise/plug for a great MMA podcast that I enjoy

We all have our moments, no harm, no foul.
I have no idea why people in the west are such emotional flowers these days. It's like, if you give em a tree to climb then they go like nobody's business; give em a room to sit in and they shit all over the place and then need to hug their retarded dog.
It's behavior we slowly start to accept, and mimic. We get to ignore real problems but still get to do the yelling and tantrums. We get to be victims, without the concequences, but with all the attention. Win-win my friend.

I spent a lot of time trying to make my position known, as have others, including those that disagree with me. I appreciate their effort to debate without attacking me for my position.

I wtf you because suddenly there's a post just sort of throwing all of said efforts in the trash for an unclear an arbitrary reason.

but some are taking the psychoanalysis way too far for an event they were not involved in
I'm a physician quoting the DSM on the literal defintional criteria of ptsd while suggesting reasons to believe a public statement by a fighter. Not to toot my own horn, but I'd hope that would be a welcome addition to a forum input.
