That stainless lower and blued slide combo is pretty sexy. Especially with the wood grips.
Yeah, it's a lovely thing. I enjoy buying non-utility firearms, lol. My friend calls these "tuxedo guns".

I'm still behind the curve with pistol red dots but found Scott's stuff helpful. (I EDC a S&W Compact 2.0 w/irons). I have a RDS on my G19 but I don't EDC it cause I can't shoot the G19 as well as I can the S&W, even with irons. I also found his Wave Grip useful and combine it with McPhee's grip.

On the previous MMA forum that I used to frequent that shall not be named....just kidding -- I posted about my recent purchase; Runcam. A cheap video cam that I attach to my ear pro VIA velcro. There's also a mount if u have a helmet.

It's cheap and the only things I didn't like: 1) Sound quality: Sounds like you're underwater. Muffled sounds. No biggie though since I'm using it at the range. 2) No preview screen so u have to use their app BUT...I couldn't get it to preview for me so my footage wasn't straight.

I did some back and forth with customer service and on my 2nd exchange; now got it to work. This info IS NOT in the manual so if u get one, keep this info in mind.

U connect the camera and phone VIA their app over wifi and use the default password, which u can later change in the app. Here is what I learned recently; turn off cellular data during this connection process. This will give u the live view and u can make various adjustments VIA the app such as brightness. I wanted it more for the physical adjustments such as making sure it was angled correctly and straight. The camera is on a flexible tube and the camera can also be rotated.

FYI - the battery is rechargeable. $60 including S&H. Useful? Maybe. Novelty item? Sure. But it's cheap so either way....I'm ok with it.

That's pretty cool. Can you see it in your peripheral or does it not stick out as dar as it appears?

I can see it but it's not annoying cause it's sits about the same level as the walkie talkie mic on the other side. I wanted to mount it higher up but the battery cover is there and didn't wanna deal with that. I thought about mounting it on the side of the actual head strap thingy....dunno what u actually call it. But...I was worried that there wasn't enough width to keep it stable and in place while in motion. I haven't run and gun with it but I generally walk at a fast pace and when cold and downrange on uneven ground, no issues with it coming off, with the way I have it currently mounted.

Planning on going to the range tomorrow and will try to upload a short vid. Highly edited of course and all hits stacked on top of each other in the X at 25 yards while doing John Wick mag flip changes.

Been needing on some Bryan Litz stuff recently. His books are great if you long range curious. Definitely not light reading though lol.

Some stuff of his Facebook page for reference on the kinda super nerd autistic level of detail he likes to go into.

I just heard a story at lunch about a Marine stationed in Japan who married a local hooker, lol. It did not end well.

He should have read the handbook.
I’m trying see how I go about mailing a copy of that to my son as he is deployed on a ship right now….before it’s too late…lol

Make sure he doesn't buy a car with 30% interest either. I saw so many dumb asses paying damn near their entire check on a car payment.

Yeah, grew up a military brat and my Dad was always bailing out his young, not so money savvy Airmen. And I remember all the auto dealerships right outside the base gates with the “E-1 and up, automatically qualified!” signs…..

I bought my son a truck after he graduated recruit training, so that’s at least one thing he shouldn’t have to worry about.

Reminds me of my early/mid 20a.

I grew up about 40 mins from the Great Lakes Naval Base and played hockey in a bar league not far from there. One season we started without a goalie, so we were rotating in guys using the rinks goalie equipment. This dude showed up at one of our games and asked if he could play for us and we said yes. He was an officer that jut got transferred to the base and was a hell of a goalie.

He told us how when he was stationed in the Phillipines, they'd always be beating into the heads of guys who were there for the first time to not marry the first whore they came across
